The Forest Products Industry has a positive environmental profile, and 100% of its resources come from above the ground. These forests remove about 600 million tons of CO2 from the atmosphere, largely off-setting any CO2 that is caused when making paperboard packaging.
Paperboard Renewable. Recyclable. Remarkable.

Today it's your beer case, soda case, or frozen pizza. Tomorrow it might hold a cereal or cake mix. You may call it cardboard or paper, but the industry name is paperboard. And its one remarkable material.

It's made from pine trees, therefore renewable. And we replace more trees than we use. Reforestation is the cornerstone of sustainable forestry. For every tree that is harvested at least 5 new ones are planted.

Pine grows fast too, vigorously absorbing CO2 to sustain their fast growth rate. Pine fibers are long and strong, so your 24-pack of soda doesn’t tear as it goes from bottler to store to your car and then into your fridge. What's more, paperboard is recyclable up to 7 times.

Recycling depends on
all of us. Truth is, everytime
a package is tossed into
a landfill the cycle
comes to a halt.

Properly managed forests can help to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. Managed forest trees are grown and harvested like a crop. When managed forests are thinned, the thinned trees can be used in the production of paperboard rather than going into landfills.
We make our paperboard out of pine trees from managed forests that follow sustainable forestry practices. And it can be recycled up to 7 times before it's finally used for things like soil enhancers.
Trees are the world's most renewable resource. What's more, our paperboard is also manufactured, delivered and recycled using renewable energy. Using up fossil fuels when we don't have to doesn't make a lot of sense, today or in the future.
